On April 14, the Directorate of Standards Metrology and Quality held the Seminar “Implementing the evaluation plan for ISO 9001:2008 at provincial administrative agencies in 2016 and awarding agencies and individuals with high performance in TCVN ISO 9001:2008 maintenance and improvement during 2015”. The seminar saw the presence of Mr. Vuong Quang Can - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology. Mr. Can delivered the beginning speech of the seminar.
Attending the meeting were representatives of 81 agencies, departments, sub-departments, People's Committees of districts and communes in the province who have constructed their quality management system in accordance with the national standard TCVN ISO 9001: 2008.
According to the summary report of the Department of Science and Technology, the implementation of the quality management system TCVN ISO 9001: 2008 at the province administrative agencies in 2015 brought many positive changes for the agencies. It helped to promote quality and efficiency of agencies, served as an effective tool to monitor administrative procedures applied by private organizations and citizens to agencies.
The evaluation results showed some common weaknesses in implementing the quality system standard at agencies. Some of them can be named as out-of-date legal documents, low frequency of internal audit (longer than 1 year as required by the standard), lack or excessive number of documented items than required and late processing.
At the end of the seminar, the Department of Science and Technology awarded certificates of merit to agencies and individuals with high performance in the standard maintenance and improvement during 2015. In particular, the awards of 04 agencies were stated in the Decision No. 173/QD-UBND issued by the People’s Committe while the awards of 05 agencies and 10 individuals were stated in the Decision No. 02/QD-SKHCN issued by the Department of Science and Technology.
