The selection of project “Establishing, developing and promoting collective mark for Vung Tau art shellfish products"

In September 26th, theDepartment of Science and Technology organized an advisory council for the research project “Establishing, developing and promoting collective mark for Vung Tau art shellfish products". MSc. candidate Nguyen Thanh Hung applied as project leader with Tra Vinh University as hosted organization. Project implementation period is 24 months (from Oct, 2016 to Oct, 2018).
The project aims to establish collective mark and to develop and promote for Vung Tau art shellfish products. Establishing and developing collective trade mark is important to protect it from infringement, help increasing product value and help differentiating from other similar products. Besides, the development will help improving quality of art shellfish in Vung Tau, satisfying more customers, touristsand contributing to tourism services of the city.
The council highly evaluated the practical significance of the project in bringing social and economic benefit for the Ba Ria - Vung Tauprovince. The project is agreed to implementation with some additional modifications as suggested by the council.
